When I first met Ashley and her mother, Wendy, I wanted to be a part of their family! I love their trust and mother-daughter bond, that even when Ashley had to move across the country in the middle of wedding planning when her soon to be husband was re-stationed for the military, her sweet mother took over and helped with the rest of the wedding details. It was truly so special to work with them both.
Ok…let me tell you about my love for orange mock. I feel like you never know exactly when it’s going to come back in season in the early summer time but when it does, it’s gone before you know it. It’s such a beautiful floral foliage that has such a short season so you better believe it that when it’s here, I’m using it as much as I can. Ashley’s bridal bouquet’s main ingredients were the orange mock and the white alabaster garden rose paired with the fruiting blueberry foliage–another amazing season greens with actual premature fruiting blueberries and of course white peonies (another bridal favorite that has such a short season)!!
The beautiful Bridesmaids all wore different shades of blush and dusty rose hues that was such a great contrast against the all whites and creams and greenery bouquets. I did add in a subtle pop of blush Kiera garden rose to pull in the hues from their dresses.
Tribute to her brother. This sweet little framed charm of her brother that was attached to the inside of Ashley’s wedding dress by her heart was such a beautiful and intimate way to carry the memories of her beloved brother.
CEREMONY. This giant oak tree, thus the name of the venue, was draped in over 30 ft of luscious mix eucalyptus garland with pepper berry that tied in with the property’s many pepper berry trees they had. I wanted even the simple garland to feel intentional like it belonged there.
I love these wooden laser cut signs from Poppy Jack Shop of the words that were originally written by Beethoven to his beloved and of course the infamous BIG to Carrie from Sex and the City. It’s just so incredibly romantic!
SWEETHEART TABLE. We then converted and reused the same garland and one of the laser cut signs for the sweetheart table. Everything that you see was all repurposed from the ceremony! I love doing this because it not only saves the couple some money but it also allows ceremony pieces to live on in different ways in the wedding!
RECEPTION. The couple had custom brewed beers for their guest and delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches from a food truck. As for the centerpieces, we alternated compote arrangements with candle arrangements to illuminate the space where people can feel cozy while they danced under the stars within the oak trees.
Congrats Ashley and Bobby!! And thank you to you both for your sacrifice and your service, Bobby. Thank you also for trusting me to carry out for floral vision! Sending you so much love to you both and your adventures together!
Be Happy. Be Floral.
