Guys, where do I even begin with this couple? I’ve never been more obsessed and in love than with these two. They have an incredible love story that is filled with heart ache, redemption, faith, pure friendship and love. I wish I could share the details of their journey but it’s not my story to tell but to tell only of their first day of their forever together in these pictures.
Are you guys ready for this? Francine and Rey’s romantic modern minimalistic wedding is nothing short of details, lots of planning and clean lines. Francine, who has impeccable taste and style planned out every incredible detail of this wedding. When it comes to florals to weddings, I’m usually “go big or go home” but in this case, less was definitely more!
The color palette of this wedding was textured greens such a varies eucalyptus types and clean crisp white blooms such as ranunculus, creamy majolicas, veronicas, hellebores and more!
Rey and his son getting ready together just tugged at my heart. They looked so dapper and handsome! And I can’t get over that perfect red lip for Francine!
Katie and Eric’s wedding was definitely one for the books. Every little detail was planned to the T and the vendors that were apart of this wedding were out of this world! It’s amazing when you work with insanely talented creatives who know their trade well and hustle and give generously through their talents, how beyond amazing the event comes together. From Katie’s stunning blushing bridal dress from designer Haley Paige to Eric’s Gucci dress shoes, this wedding was nothing short of class.
The color palette for this wedding was to air on the side of lots of neutrals with pops of blush because we really wanted Katie’s amazing designer blush gown to stand out!
My favorite part of her bridal bouquet are the various garden roses that I used from a San Diego local rose farm called Ella Rose.
Hi friends! I promise I’m alive! It’s been a busy wedding season and I’ve been enjoying immersing myself in dreamy florals. And boy am I excited to share this wedding with you. Ben and Rebecca are sweet friends of mine (yes, I know I know…all my friends are so good looking!) and I was honored that they asked me to do the florals for their special day! When Rebecca and I started chatting about the style of her wedding and she really gave me a color palette and I just ran with it. I saw her wedding dress (all the pieces came from The Dress Theory here in San Diego) and it had an elegant boho feel about it. So that’s what I wanted the florals to embody.
Honestly, I can’t believe it took me this long to share this incredible wedding with you from July 2016. The couple is near and dear to my heart, as I’ve known Jess (the bride) for over 10 years! Both the couple are visionaries and creatives. Todd is an amazing photographer from Chicago and obviously moved out here for Jess; but the weather, food and the people ain’t so bad either huh? And Jess is a videographer, director, and producer and the hot/cool teacher at a private school in Rancho Santa Fe that all the boys pretty much have a crush on. I’m sure of it.
Jess and Todd met while working on a documentary film together, traveling the Camino de Santiago following a man who has stage IV cancer and who dreamt of doing this walk. In the midst of producing this film, Jess and Todd got to know each other and obviously fell in love….and well…the rest is history and here’s the proof!
I’ve taken a little break from blogging my weddings from last year, but I’m back at it now! As most of you know, I just welcomed my second son right before Christmas and now that we are all starting to adjust to being a family of 4, I am ready to dive into my 2017 weddings! So far in this winter, it’s been pretty rainy but I’ve been loving it. I have a fire started, my oldest has his line of garbage trucks in a row and my littlest is napping like a champ, which give me some time to just day dream of the amazing weddings I was able to be apart of last year. I couldn’t be more blessed to be doing something that I love, all the while being at home with my children. Being a full time stay at home mom while running a small business full time comes with its challenges (i.e.: I answer calls in my closet/bathroom to keep my clients from hearing my screaming kids or Daniel Tiger/Thomas the Train that is blasting in the background) but it’s all so worth it because I get to meet amazing couples like Kirby and Katie!
This wedding gave me all the feels! Call it my 30 week pregnancy hormones in 90 degree heat at the time, but no really, this wedding was STUNNING in every way! Jen, the bride, had thought of every detail and it was utter perfection!
From Jen’s dress to the color palette to the venue, I couldn’t have dreamt for a dreamier backdrop for vows to be exchanged!
Last month I had the pleasure of hosting my first workshop in my studio! It’s always been a dream of mine to gather women together to craft and bond and learn from each other. Every one has such an amazing story to share and we are all on this journey together, so why not grow together! And I’ve always thought life is just better when we do it together. So drawing community together through workshops was something I have been brewing for sometime. It just gets crazy to fit it all in with a toddler, weddings and events that are already booked, and pregnancy! But luckily with all the holidays coming up, I was able to host one that was sure to get us in the festive spirit! And what better way to test out my first workshop, than on my church’s Moms Group.
This venue and this couple was just pure magic! For my non-local San Diegean brides, I have to work with them over the phone and I don’t meet them usually till their big day, so sometimes we take longer to communicate styles and inspirations (thank God for Pinterest right?) but for Jenn, I knew after the first phone call! Her kind and trusting personality came across immediately and I just loved working with her on this all whites and greenery magical wedding!
Her style was very clean, romantic, modern with a touch of whimsical.
There’s something so magical getting married under a giant tree with string light, surrounded by the people that love you and with warm summer breezes in the air. This little venue is tucked away in the side streets of Pasadena called Happy Trails Catering that offers the warm backyard feels of their space to get hitched.
For Chrislynn and Scott’s wedding I used a soft, dusty lavender palette, complimenting that with a dusty blue from blue thistle, dusty rose from quicksand roses, mint from dusty miller, and grey from silver bruina balls to neutralize the tones even more.
